The second edition of the ESA BIC Poland Demo Day took place on 10 December 2025 at CIC Warsaw, bringing together startups, partners, industry representatives, and investors for an inspiring afternoon dedicated to innovation and space entrepreneurship. The event once again highlighted the growing role of ESA BIC Poland in supporting early-stage companies developing space-related technologies with strong market potential.
The event was officially opened by dr Marta Wachowicz, President of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA), together with Łukasz Kotapski, Vice President of the Industrial Development Agency (ARP S.A.). Their remarks underscored the rising importance of space innovation in Poland and the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening the national space ecosystem.
At the heart of Demo Day were the startup pitches, delivered by eleven teams currently developing their projects within ESA BIC Poland:
Supercluster, SENSORBITE, Orbital Matter, MIRORES, KOTA, KOSMOK, Green Haven, Geoimpact Ventures, Erend Space, CleverHive and Embed Rover.
Each startup shared a clear and engaging overview of its progress and ambitions, presenting innovations that reflect the diversity of Poland’s space startup landscape — spanning AI and data analytics, Earth observation, in-orbit operations, and emerging space technologies. Together, these pitches highlighted the creativity and momentum driving the growth of Poland’s space sector.
In addition to the pitching session, the Demo Day featured several thematic presentations offering a broader perspective on the development of Poland’s space sector. POLSA presented Poland’s planned contribution to ESA’s optional programmes (CM25) and its significance for strengthening national capabilities and driving technological progress. ARP S.A. highlighted its increasing engagement in supporting the space industry and fostering innovation within the sector.
The agenda also included a discussion panel dedicated to the ESA ACCESS support ecosystem, featuring representatives of ESA BIC Poland, ESA Phi-Lab Poland, the ESA Technology Broker, and the ESA BASS Ambassador. The session explored the various pathways available to startups as they seek to accelerate their growth and expand their presence within Europe’s space innovation landscape.
Beyond the stage, networking sessions sparked lively conversations, giving participants the opportunity to exchange ideas, explore collaboration opportunities, and discuss future development pathways. The atmosphere clearly demonstrated how much potential emerges when innovators, experts, and partners connect in one place.
Key Highlights and Awards
Demo Day was also an opportunity to honour the exceptional contributions of the ESA BIC Poland Partners whose support plays a key role in strengthening our startup community. This year’s recognitions reflected both the quality and scale of the assistance provided by programme partners, as well as valuable feedback from participating startups. Awards were presented in the following categories:
• Best Technological Partner: Center for Innovation of the Warsaw University of Technology
• Best Business Partner: Planet Partners
• Best Legal Partner: Rzeszów Regional Development Agency (RARR)
The Best Pitch Award went — once again — to Supercluster, with Orbital Matter and KOSMOK earning close runner-up distinctions.
Looking Ahead
The second ESA BIC Poland Demo Day reaffirmed the growing capabilities of the Polish space startup sector and the importance of collaboration between founders, institutions, partners, and investors. The event strengthened existing relationships and opened new avenues for cooperation, supporting the long-term development of space innovation in Poland.
ESA BIC Poland extends its sincere thanks to all speakers, partners, and participants who contributed to this year’s edition. We look forward to continuing this mission and supporting the next generation of space innovators.
