Who can apply

You have an innovative idea using space technology for general non-space industrial, scientific and commercial uses (“spin-off”) or using non space technology for proposing products and services for the space sector (“spin-in”).

Your company is not older than five years and it is an SME or it is on the way to be established. 

Your team are residents with a working permit in Poland.

How to apply

  • Legal Polish entities
  • SME status
  • Company not older than 5 years
  • More than half of the shares must be owned by the entrepreneur(s) that apply to the ESA BIC Poland

Contact ESA BIC Poland Team

The ESA BIC Poland will assist you in determining whether the business idea is suitable for incubation and explain what is needed from the applicant.

Download the application documents

Download the application forms and supporting documents here. Make sure you understand the requirements (see the requirements checklists in the Cover Letter template). Only applications that fulfil all requirements will be considered. If in any doubt, please contact the ESA BIC Poland for clarification before starting to write the application.

Complete your documents

Fill in the documents:

  • Cover Letter
  • Business Plan
  • Incubation Proposal
  • Related Appendices

Join the application masterclass for tips and advice on completing your application. Make sure to fill in all required sections in the application templates. Sign the cover letter where indicated.

STEP 5

Consult the ESA BIC Team

Arrange a time for the ESA BIC Poland team to provide feedback on your application before the deadline by contacting your local representative or  office@esabic.pl.

Submit the application

Submit the required application documents in electronic form (pdf, maximum three files, one for each required document) to the following e-mail address:  office@esabic.pl with subject “ESA BIC Poland Open Call” before the announced cut-off date (do not wait until the last minute, applications sent after the deadline will not be accepted).

NOTICE ON THE PROCESSING OF IDA PERSONAL DATA

Personal data administrator:

  1. We would like to inform you that the administrator of the personal data of the Programme participants is Industrial Development Agency JSC with its registered office in Warsaw KRS: 0000037957, NIP: 5260300204, REGON: 006746410 (hereinafter “IDA”).
  2. IDA can be contacted by phone at (+48) 22 695 36 00, by e-mail at poczta@arp.pl and by post at Industrial Development Agency JSC, ul. Nowy Świat 6/12, 00-400 Warszawa, Centrum Bankowo Finansowe – entrance “C”.

Data Protection Officer:

IDA has appointed a Data Protection Officer as referred to in Articles 37-39 of the GDPR. Contact details of the Data Protection Officer at IDA: iod@arp.pl, Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A., 00-400 Warszawa, ul. Nowy Świat 6/12 Centrum Bankowo Finansowe – entrance ‘C’.

Purposes and legal grounds for data processing

Your personal data is processed by IDA in order:

  • to analyse the formal and content of the application and consequently accept or reject it (legal basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR)
  • fulfilment of legal requirements by IDA, in particular tax, accounting, AML and archiving requirements (legal basis of Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR);
  • to fulfil the legitimate interests of IDA as an administrator which are, inter alia, the proper execution of the concluded Agreement, as well as the establishment, investigation and defence against possible claims (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

Scope of data:

  1. In the case of natural persons who are the other party to the agreement with IDA and persons representing the notified entity, the scope of data processed includes: name(s), surname, NIP or PESEL number, position held (function held) and place of work, contact details and other data provided to the IDA.

Recipients of data:

  1. Your personal data may be transferred by IDA to entities processing them on request (e.g. consultants, auditors, IT service providers) and to entities entitled to access the data on the basis of applicable laws (e.g. courts, law enforcement agencies).
  2. The entity processing your personal data on behalf of IDA is IDA Informatyka sp. z o.o., which provides ICT support for data processing.
  3. Your personal data may be made available to the European Space Agency, which is the co-organiser of the Programme, to Partners involved in the activities of ESA BIC Poland and to Experts involved in the evaluation of the submitted documentation.
  4. Your personal data will not be transferred to a third country (understood as a country outside the European Economic Area, EEA) or an international organisation within the meaning of the GDPR.

Data retention period:

Your personal data will be retained for a period of 5 years from the end of the calendar year in which the agreement with IDA is executed, unless a longer processing period is necessary, e.g. due to archiving obligations, the assertion of claims or as otherwise required by generally applicable law.

Rights in relation to data processing:

You have the following rights, which can be exercised by contacting the Data Protection Officer appointed at IDA (contact details above):

  • the right of access to the content of your data,
  • the right to rectify incomplete or inaccurate data,
  • the right to erasure (to be forgotten),
  • the right to restrict processing,
  • the right to object to the processing of your data,
  • the right to data portability – in case you are the other party to the agreement with IDA.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority – the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection (address: Office of the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw).

Information on automated decision-making:

Your personal data will be profiled by a specialised office of the IDA in connection with the Administrator’s legal obligation under specific legislation, including AML.

For this purpose, the IDA may obtain additional information directly from you or from publicly available sources, e.g. the BIK. Based on your personal data, IDA will not make automated decisions within the meaning of the GDPR.
