Two more startups incubated in ESA BIC Poland have been selected for additional funding under the BOOST mechanism, each receiving €100,000 to support further development of their technologies. ESA BIC Poland Incubation BOOST is a targeted support scheme within the incubation programme, providing additional funding to support further technology development. This time, Incubation BOOST goes to KOSMOK and Spaceform – two startups working on different technologies, with funding supporting clearly defined next steps.
KOSMOK: testing and visual navigation
KOSMOK will use Incubation BOOST to carry out environmental testing of its docking interfaces, verifying their performance under launch conditions and in vacuum. At the same time, the team will further develop visual markers used in camera-based navigation during docking. These markers act as reference points, helping determine the position of a target satellite in challenging lighting conditions. ESA BIC Poland Incubation BOOST funding will support the production of prototypes, testing of different coating types, and validation of their durability in vacuum.

Spaceform: advancing VASP technology
Spaceform will use ESA BIC Poland Incubation BOOST to further develop its VASP additive manufacturing technology, based on suspension-mediated powder deposition followed by laser fusion.
The project includes refining the process for selected engineering materials and developing a gravity-independent powder management module designed for operation in microgravity. This module is intended for future in-space manufacturing applications, including ISRU (In-Situ Resource Utilization).
Incubation BOOST supports the next stage of development of Spaceform’s technology, bringing it closer to applications in both terrestrial and space environments.

What is the Incubation BOOST?
Each year, up to two startups from the ESA BIC Poland programme receive an additional €100,000 to support further development of their technologies.
Incubation BOOST is available to startups that:
➡️ are in the incubation phase, and
➡️ have successfully passed their Mid-Term Review (MTR).
This initiative provides additional support for selected startups in the programme, with funding from the Polish Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the European Space Agency (ESA).
