Łukasiewicz Research Network – Tele and Radio Research Institute (Ł-ITR) conducts comprehensive and interdisciplinary scientific research and development of highly developed technologies and innovations, especially in the field of ICT systems, electronics, electronic assembly and solutions for Industry 4.0.
Ł-ITR, as one of the leading scientific and research units in the field of electronics, offers innovative and modern technological, design and IT solutions based on the latest scientific and technological developments focused on solving customers’ needs.
Technical support offer
Ł-ITR has specialized equipment for PCB production and PCBA assembly. It has a testing laboratory accredited to the 17025 standard under the number AB045. The laboratory performs process validation for the mainly automotive industry on a daily basis, which includes various climate tests, evaluation of PCBs and solder joints by microscopic and X-Ray observations. It is also involved in solving various soldering problems. L-ITR has developed specialized PCBs for the telecommunications system and antennas for space operation, which have been successfully placed and launched in Earth orbit.
Due to its experience, young scientific staff, Ł-ITR can act as an intermediary in contacting and promoting among partners in the electronics industry the projects and principles of cooperation with ESA. This is important because one of the main obstacles to participation in ESA projects by entities from non-space industries is the fear that the solutions, technical and research facilities and requirements are unattainable for them.
