Six start-ups were selected for the ESA BIC Poland incubation program.
Selection of the startups for the ESA BIC Poland
ESA Business Incubation Centres (ESA BICs) are the largest network of space incubators in Europe. The main objective of ESA BICs is to support entrepreneurs with a space-based business idea, thereby creating and growing clusters of space related startups across Europe. All ESA BIC are managed by local champions who connect their ESA BICs to their local industry, universities, research organisations, government, and investor communities, while also maintaining strong regional/national links.
After the first call, 6 startups were selected for the ESA Business Incubation Centre Poland. A contract will now be signed with the selected companies in the following 2-3 months, and they will start incubation at the ESA BIC Poland. The list of selected startups with a description of their projects will be published within the signature of Incubation Contracts.
ESA BIC Poland startups will receive an incentive of € 50,000 for product development and intellectual property management alongside with technological, administrative support, business coaching and mentoring and access to the broad network of partners of ESA BIC Poland and ESA BIC international network.
The objective of ESA BIC Poland is to create and strengthen the community of successful space related start-ups in Poland by supporting 35 incubates over the period of 5 years under the ESA BIC scheme. ESA BIC Poland will be based in two locations – Warsaw and Rzeszow.
ESA BIC Poland planned to gather a community of 7 incubated start-ups in the first year of activity, following the inauguration in January 2023. However, due to high interest in the ESA BIC Poland program, additional startups are planned to be selected in the next call. So don’t hesitate and join the family of ESA BICs startups!!!
