Your first step towards ESA BIC Poland incubation and the European space ecosystem.

ESA BIC Poland Bootcamp is an intensive pre-incubation programme designed to help ambitious teams transform innovative ideas with a space connection into commercially viable businesses.

Through expert-led workshops, mentoring and hands-on project development, participants strengthen both the technological and business potential of their projects. The programme also prepares the most promising teams to apply for ESA BIC Poland incubation and take the next step in building their startup.

WHY JOIN THE BOOTCAMP?

Innovative ideas alone are not enough to build a successful company. Understanding your customers, validating market needs and developing a sustainable business model are just as important as the technology itself.

The programme helps you combine both perspectives. Working with experienced entrepreneurs, business experts and space professionals, you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to validate your idea, strengthen its commercial potential and prepare it for ESA BIC Poland incubation.

IS THIS PROGRAMME FOR YOU?

Designed for innovators ready to take the next step.

Whether you are exploring an early-stage idea or already developing a prototype, the Bootcamp will help you better understand your market, strengthen your business concept and define a clear path forward.

The programme is particularly suitable for:

  • researchers and scientists
  • engineers and technology developers
  • entrepreneurs and startup founders
  • students and PhD candidates
  • companies exploring space-related innovations
  • multidisciplinary teams combining business and technical expertise

Projects may involve upstream or downstream space technologies, including Earth Observation, Satellite Communications, Navigation, AI, robotics, advanced materials and other technologies or applications with a space connection.

PROGRAMME FORMAT

Designed to fit around your work and studies.

The pre-incubation programme is delivered over 4–5 weeks and includes approximately 20 hours of online workshops, mentoring sessions and practical exercises, concluding with an in-person Bootcamp Finale – Pitch Day.

Rather than concentrating all activities into a few intensive days, the programme is intentionally spread over several weeks. This gives participants time to apply what they learn, work on their projects between sessions and gradually refine their ideas with continuous support from mentors and experts.

The hybrid format makes participation accessible to teams from across Poland while providing valuable opportunities for networking and collaboration during the in-person finale.

HOW THE PROGRAMME WORKS

Throughout the programme, you will develop your project step by step. Each workshop builds on the previous one, allowing you to immediately apply newly acquired knowledge before moving on to the next stage.

1. Validate your idea – assess the commercial potential of your innovation and identify the problem it solves.

2. Understand your customers and the market – define your target customers, analyse the market and validate your assumptions.

3. Build your business – develop your value proposition, business model, go-to-market strategy and financial plan.

4. Strengthen your technology – refine your technology roadmap, define project milestones and develop your intellectual property strategy.

5. Prepare for ESA BIC Poland incubation – learn how to prepare a competitive application and receive feedback on your documentation.

6. Pitch your project – conclude the programme by presenting the project you have developed throughout the Bootcamp during the Bootcamp Finale – Pitch Day. Receive feedback from experts, exchange ideas with fellow participants and build valuable connections within the ESA BIC Poland ecosystem.

By the end of the Bootcamp you will have:

  • a validated business concept with identified market potential
  • a stronger value proposition and business model
  • a technology development roadmap and key project milestones
  • valuable feedback from experienced entrepreneurs and space experts
  • the knowledge and confidence to prepare a strong ESA BIC Poland application
  • the skills to effectively present your project to partners and investors
