10 teams participated in a business workshop to prepare them to apply to ESA BIC Poland. The workshop concluded with Demo Day combined with an Open Day at ESA BIC Poland.
ESA BIC Poland Bootcamp
The ESA BIC Poland Bootcamp was organised in cooperation with the Polish Space Agency, which became a strategic partner of the programme. ESA BIC Poland Bootcamp is a pre-incubation programme focused on the business aspects of ideas that intend to apply to the ESA BIC Poland incubator.
18 teams applied for the programme, of which 10 were selected. Between 15 and 21 March, workshops were held (group and individual workshops with mentors), the content of which was organised by the Foundation for Technology Entrepreneurship, which is the leader of the Mazovia consortium and is responsible for the start-up incubation process in the Mazovia region.
The final day of the Bootcamp was split into two locations according to the locations of ESA BIC Poland.
Open Day in Rzeszów
On 22 March, an event was held in Rzeszów to conclude the pre-incubation programme for 3 teams planning to apply in the region. The event had a broader formula of an Open Day, during which all participants had the opportunity to talk directly with representatives and partners of ESA BIC Poland. The event was held at the premises of the Science and Technology Park AEROPOLIS which is operated by the Rzeszów Regional Development Agency (RARR). RARR is responsible for the incubation of start-ups in ESA BIC Poland in the Subcarpathian region. Photos from the event are available below.
Open Day in Warsaw
On 23 March, the second ESA BIC Poland Bootcamp closing event was held in Warsaw, this time for 7 teams planning to apply in the region. Representatives and partners of ESA BIC Poland were also present at this event. The event was open to all interested in applying to ESA BIC Poland. The event itself took place in the Brain Embassy, which will provide office space to startups incubated in the Mazovia region. Photos from the event are available below.
ESA BIC Poland Bootcamp for our team was a great opportunity to map teams / startups interested in applying to ESA BIC Poland incubator. From the surveys conducted after the workshop, we know that for the workshop participants the pre-incubation programme was a great opportunity to work on the business part of the application and to learn more about the principles and benefits of applying to ESA BIC Poland. We hope that participation in ESA BIC Poland was an important stage in their development for all teams.
The holding of the ESA BIC Poland Bootcamp would not have been possible without the support and involvement of partners: Polish Space Agency, Technological Entrepreneurship Foundation and Rzeszowska Agencja Rozwoju Regionalnego S.A. The organiser of ESA BIC Poland Bootcamp as well as the entity responsible for the ESA BIC Poland incubator is Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A.
