Excento Sp. z o.o.

Excento supports technology ventures through prototyping infrastructure, business development, market validation, investor readiness, and the commercialization of innovative solutions.

About the company

Excento is the Special Purpose Vehicle of Gdańsk University of Technology, established to support
the commercialisation of research results, build relations between science and business, and develop technology ventures. The company acts as a practical bridge between research teams, students, entrepreneurs, investors and business support institutions, helping to transform technological ideas into projects ready for market implementation.

Excento incubates and supports the establishment of spin-off companies of Gdańsk University
of Technology, including as the operator of the Startup School Two programme conducted within
the university ecosystem. As part of these activities, the company supports teams in the transition from a technological concept to a business model, market validation, preparation for discussions
with partners, and the formal launch of business activity.

An important part of Excento’s infrastructure consists of three 24/7 ProtoLab laboratories. ProtoLab spaces have already been used by more than 1,000 users. The laboratories enable prototyping, testing and development of engineering projects, including in the space and space-related sectors, automotive, electronics and electromobility. This infrastructure is also used by some of the most active student research clubs and engineering teams of Gdańsk University of Technology, including SimLE and PGRacing Team.

Excento also has experience as an operator and implementer of grant projects at the interface
of science and business with a total value of approximately PLN 50 million.
